MomsOfOmaha.com knows that you care how information about you is collected, protected and used.  This notice describes our privacy policy.  By using our website, you are accepting the practices described in this notice.

What Information is Collected About Visitors?

Information we collect can be classified into two main categories:

Information you provide to us.
MomsOfOmaha.com may collect and store information, personal or otherwise, that you voluntarily supply on our site.  The main source of this information is likely to be that provided when you register to use our Forums.  For example, we will ask for a valid e-mail address during registration in order to be able to communicate with you should the need arise.  We will not use your e-mail address or other personal information for solicitations and will not sell it to marketers.  We may also collect information from you in the event we conduct surveys, posting contests and other voluntary programs.  Again, personal information will not be used for solicitations or sold to others.  We may, however, aggregate certain kinds of data that is not personally identifiable for use by potential advertisers.  For example, we may provide data on the number of registered users in our Forums, the most visited areas of our site and so forth but will not knowingly share the identity of individual users.

Information that is collected automatically
Our web logs collect standard web log entries for each page served to you, including your IP address, page URL (address), and timestamp.  These logs help us administer our site, diagnose problems with our server, and assess and improve the popularity of various features.  Our Forums area may also make use of "cookies," which are small files your browser places on your hard drive.  We use cookies so that you can personalize the look and functionality of the Forums without having to reenter your preferences each time you visit the site.  We do not knowingly allow advertisers on our site to collect information via cookies or similar technologies.

Special Advisory Regarding Our Forums
As noted in this Policy, we will not knowingly provide your personally identifiable information to others except, as stated below, as part of a legal action.  To maintain your privacy when using our Forums, you should carefully consider the information you choose to provide when posting.  Your posts are available for others to read and archive.  Marketers may collect and use information you provide publicly to send unwanted solicitations.  We have no ability to control how others use the information you choose to share in postings.

A Caution Regarding Links to Other Sites
Our site has many links to websites maintained by others.  We have no control over the terms of service or privacy policies of these sites, and you should not assume that other sites share our concern for your privacy.  Furthermore, by providing links to other sites, we are only providing information, not making recommendations or guarantees of any kind.  We are not responsible for any losses or injury you may incur as a result of transactions with these other sites.

Data That Is Stored
Web logs, other records, and postings to our Forums are stored indefinitely in our database and may be archived elsewhere.  We make a good faith effort to store information in a secure operating environment, but we cannot guarantee foolproof security.

Archiving and Display of  Forum Postings By Search Engines and Others
Search engines and other sites that are not affiliated with MomsOfOmaha.com, such as Google.com, may archive and make available Forum postings and other content from our site.

Circumstances in Which We May Release Collected Information
We may disclose information about users if we are required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process.  We may also disclose information about users to law enforcement officers or others if it is our good faith belief that doing so is reasonably necessary to enforce our Terms of Use; to respond to claims that content violates the rights of third-parties; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MomsOfOmaha.com, its users or the general public.

Children's Policy Statement
Our website is not directed to children under the age of 13 and we don't  knowingly collect or distribute personally identifiable information from such children.  Children under 13 are not knowingly allowed to post in our Forums.  If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13, we will delete it from our records.

Revisions to the Privacy Policy
We may need to change this Policy from time to time as web standards evolve or the scope of our activities changes.  The Policy may also be modified in the unlikely event of a change in ownership of the MomsOfOmaha website.  If the Privacy Policy is revised, we will post the changes on this website and update the Effective Date shown above.  By continuing to use the site after such revisions, you agree to accept the Policy as modified.
